Guess Who’s A Happy Guy Now?

Maybe you don’t know this about me, but up until 14 years ago, I was a pretty good Viola and Violin player. That is until my essential and Parkinson’s shakings made it impossible for me to play.
The sad thing was that I had a hard drive crash on my laptop at about the same time, and I lost all the music I had composed for the past three years. Yes, that was my mistake; I didn’t have any Dropbox copy of that folder where the score and the midi files were stored. Everything else on that laptop was meticulously backed up.

One Of My Hardest Losses

It might be silly to talk about hard losses, but that was a blow to my self-esteem, creativity, and will to compose or play again.

Fast-forward to 2019, when I had my DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) surgery, I started to get back a hope to play my violin again. But it took me more than two more years until I finally opened up my Violinbox and took it out to look at it. I did tune it up again after all those years. It still sounded good, and I felt the happiness return in my heart. So I played a simple G Major scale and recorded it on Video. I cried with joy as I looked at it after.

2022, I’m in Neuro rehab, and one of the goals for my Physiotherapy is to regain the strength in my shoulders and upper body to play my violin again!

Regaining My Creativity!

I have also recently composed again. I short concerto piece for Solo clarinet and strings named Solistice dedicated to my Friend @AlessandraWhite

To find back to the creativity, I did by starting to write and publish online. And by doing so, my other sides of creativity also returned!
