Having Trouble Catching Up? Clean Out Your Subscriptions!
I recently saw a bit of an issue catching up with all the emails I’m receiving. So What I did this past weekend was I canceled many subscriptions to Newsletters I had going on. What my interests were a couple of months ago isn’t the same as what I’m interested in now. And maybe it’s the same for you?
Strategies For Removing Overwhelming Emails
- Delete the emails that you are not interested in reading.
- Look through those emails and see what subscribed once that’s there.
- Unsubscribe to these ones.
- Any strange emails in the bunch? Mark them as spam, and if they cannot be unsubscribed., setup for immediate deletion.
Anything else? Look through your spam folder to see if there are any subscriptions there too. If there are, unsubscribe to those too.
I discovered 47 subscriptions I wasn’t interested in keeping, not that they were bad, just that doesn’t fit in with my workflow right now.
I keep streamlining my workflow, more or less every month now. To not end up in a situation that can possibly cause brain fatigue.
